TermiteSnap Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the TermiteSnap mobile app ("the app") handles information. The app is published by KTKE Engineering LLC ("we", "us"). It is a business tool for licensed pest-control inspectors and inspection companies.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

KTKE Engineering LLC publishes the app. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected] or visit https://termitesnap.com.

2. The short version

• The app works offline. Your jobs, customer details, photos, drawings, signatures, and profile are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
• There are no accounts, logins, or cloud sync. The app has no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking.
• The only information the app itself sends over the internet is the text you type into the optional address search box. It is used to look up address suggestions and is not stored.
• When you email or share a report, open a report in another app, or open a county assessor website, you choose to do so. The other app or website handles the information from that point.

3. Information stored only on your device

The app stores the following on your device so you can prepare inspection reports:

• Job and inspection details you enter, including customer names, property addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.
• Photos you take with the camera or choose from your photo library, and drawings and drawing backgrounds.
• Signatures captured in the app.
• Your inspector and company profile (for example, company name, license numbers, and email addresses).
• App settings and saved phrases.

Camera and photos. The app asks for camera and photo access only so you can attach photos to a job or choose a drawing background. The photos stay on your device.

We do not have access to any of this information. It is not sent to us or to anyone else unless you choose to send it (see Section 6).

4. Address search (the only information the app sends)

The customer page has an optional address search box. When you type in it, the app sends only the text you typed over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our address-search service. The service returns suggested addresses. The app does not send your name, job number, customer details, photos, location, or any other job information. You can always type an address by hand, including offline, without using search.

How the search request is handled:

• Our address-search service runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers). It passes your search text, with fixed search settings (such as country), to Geoapify, which returns suggestions based on OpenStreetMap data. Our service does not save or log your search text or your IP address, and it does not cache searches or results.
• Cloudflare hosts the service for us. Like any network provider, it sees your device's IP address when the request arrives. Your IP address is used only for rate limiting (to prevent excessive requests), in memory counters with a window of 60 seconds or less, and is never stored or logged. Logging of requests for this service is turned off.
• Geoapify receives only the search text from our service. It sees our service's address, not your IP address or device.

5. Service providers and sharing

We use two service providers to run address search: Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting and network delivery) and Geoapify (address lookup). They process the search request on our behalf, only to return suggestions. We require any third party that handles user data for the app to protect it as well as, or better than, this policy describes.

County assessor website (link you choose to open). The Assessor button is a link to the Maricopa County Assessor website (mcassessor.maricopa.gov), a government site that we do not operate. It opens only when you tap it, in your device's web browser, with the job's property address in the web address so the site can find the property. The county website has its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with that information. The app makes no background call to it.

We do not sell your information, share it for advertising, or use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

We may disclose information if the law requires it. Because we do not store search text or your job data, we generally have nothing to disclose.

6. Things you choose to send from the app

• Emailing or sharing a report. When you email a PDF report, the app opens your device's own email app (or the share menu) with the report attached. You choose the recipients and whether to send it. The app does not send email itself. After you send or share a report, your email provider or the app you chose handles it under its own privacy policy.
• Opening a report. You can open a generated PDF in another app on your device, such as a PDF viewer.
• County assessor website. When you tap the Assessor button, the app opens the Maricopa County Assessor website (mcassessor.maricopa.gov) in your device's web browser, with the job's property address in the web address. Nothing is sent unless you tap the button. See Section 5.

7. Retention and deletion

• On your device: your information stays until you delete it. Delete a job in the app to remove that job and its photos, drawings, and signatures. Uninstalling the app removes all app data from the device. Device backups made by your phone's operating system are controlled by you and your device settings.
• Address search: search text is used only to return suggestions and is not kept. IP addresses are used only in memory counters for rate limiting (a window of 60 seconds or less) and are never stored or logged.
• Requests: we hold no personal information about you, so there is normally nothing for us to access or delete. You can still contact us at [email protected] with any request or question and we will respond. Because search is optional, you can stop using it at any time, and nothing further will be sent.

8. Security

Address searches travel over encrypted HTTPS connections. Our address-search service keeps no search text or IP addresses, and the Geoapify key is kept on the server, not in the app. Information stored in the app is protected by your device's own security (screen lock and device encryption), so keep your device secure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep the information that leaves your device to a minimum.

9. Purchases

Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes your payment under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment card or billing details. The app only checks whether your subscription is active.

10. Children

The app is a business tool for licensed professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we will update this policy and its effective date on this page. For material changes, we will also note the change in the app or in the app store release notes.
